These chewy and healthy oatmeal cookies are an all time favorite! They don’t have much butter, and we completely avoided refined sugar. Three cheers for that! If soft and chewy and warm with cinnamon is your jam, then we hope you will give these a try. If you make them, be sure to tag us @FittbeApps so that we can see and share!

 Ingredient List:

        • 1 cup of rolled oats
        • ¾ cup whole wheat flour (this really brings the nuttiness!)
        • 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon (cinnamon has anti- inflammatory qualities that we love)
        • 1 ½ tsp baking powder
        • 1/4 tsp salt
        • 2 tbsp butter
        • 1 large egg, room temperature
        • 1 tsp vanilla extract
        • 1/4 cup honey or agave (We use agave nectar & you can pick it up at Costco or Amazon)
        • 1/2 cup raisins (sometimes we mix with golden raisins)
    • Preheat your oven to 325 Degrees
    • Mix together the dry ingredients
    • In a separate bowl, whisk together the wet ingredients
    • Mix both wet and dry ingredients together and then add in your raisins
  • Drop the cookies on a baking sheet covered with a silpat or silicone baking mat (this is our fave!)
  • Pat them down just a bit so they are flatter
  • Bake for about 12 minutes!
