It’s always nice to have something to look forward to, and “overnight oats” are a superb example of that!
You can make overnight oats of so many scrumptious flavor combinations. Apple Cinnamon Overnight oats are a true treat! We suggest adding some toasted nuts on top for a bit of added protein an an exquisite taste. Favorites are toasted pecans or toasted walnuts which you can toast the evening before – and then just sprinkle on in the morning when you treat yourself to your oats!
Ingredients for Apple Cinnamon overnight oats.
- 1 Cup Greek yogurt
- 1/2 Water
- 1 Rolled Oats
- 1 Apple, Chopped small (We like Pink Lady or Fuji!)
- 1/4 Cup Toasted pecans or walnuts to top (Add them in the morning!)
- 1 TBSP Cinnamon
- 1 TBSP Honey
Method for Making Apple Cinnamon Overnight Oats
Mix together greek yogurt and water. Next Stir in the rolled oats. Mix in the cinnamon.
Chop your apples into small dice. Mix the apple into the oat mixture, and blend in 1 tbsp of honey. Chop and toast pecans or walnuts, and toast them in a nonstick pan. Save for the morning!
Put the mixture in the refrigerator for at least 8 hours.
Wake to your hot coffee and delicious overnight oats. You can heat them in the microwave or enjoy cold. Dust with a little extra cinnamon in the morning. Add those toasted nuts, and optional – a little milk!
